How to return something to Nx Systems. Covers faulty goods, change of mind, software licences and pre-configured equipment, plus how refunds are paid.

Faulty or misdescribed goods

If something arrives faulty, damaged, or is not what was described, contact us and we will put it right — repair, replacement or refund, depending on the fault. This is your right under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and it is not time-limited by us.

Please tell us as soon as you can, and keep the packaging where possible.

Change of mind

We are not required to refund a change of mind, but we will usually accept a return within 14 days of delivery provided the item is unused, unopened and in its original packaging with all accessories.

Return freight for a change of mind is at your cost. Once we receive the item and confirm its condition we will refund the purchase price.

Software licences

Nx Witness licence keys cannot be refunded once issued, because they are permanently tied to your server’s Hardware ID. If you are not certain which licence you need, call us on 0800 699 486 before ordering — we would much rather spend five minutes getting it right than have you buy the wrong thing.

Pre-configured and special-order items

Where we have configured equipment specifically for your site, or ordered something in for you, a change-of-mind return may attract a restocking fee. We will always tell you before you order if this applies.

How to start a return

Email info@nxsystems.nz or call 0800 NXWITNESS (0800 699 486) with your order number and what the problem is. Please do not send anything back before contacting us — we will confirm the return address and how to send it.

Refunds

Approved refunds go back to the card used for the original payment, normally within five working days of us receiving and checking the item.
