Nx Systems is owned and operated by Duncan Nash, who has more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the security and surveillance industry. Duncan is known for being highly knowledgeable yet approachable, and takes the time to understand each customer’s needs rather than pushing a one-size-fits-all solution.
Over three decades he has watched the industry move from basic analogue systems to today’s intelligent IP video platforms. That long view means we do not chase every new trend. We focus on proven, well-supported technology that actually works in real New Zealand conditions — a busy commercial site in Auckland, a rural property in the central North Island, or a multi-site operation spread across the country.

We are experienced with wireless networks, Starlink and solar-powered setups, which means professional-grade CCTV can be installed almost anywhere — including remote rural properties and sites with no traditional power or internet.
Many of our customers run farms, lifestyle blocks, contractors’ yards or businesses where fibre is not available and mobile coverage is limited. We design for that: local recording, efficient bandwidth management, and carefully planned wireless or satellite links that keep working when the connection does not.
Much of the server and camera programming can be handled remotely from our base in the Bay of Plenty. That reduces expensive on-site callouts and keeps ongoing costs under control.
How we work
Our process usually begins with a conversation. We listen to how you use your site, what you need to protect, and what level of monitoring is realistic for your budget and operations.
From there we prepare clear recommendations and a practical system design. Once the equipment is selected we work with experienced local installers who understand both the technology and the realities of New Zealand sites. After installation we stay involved — checking the system performs as expected and remaining available for questions.
